Hmm. Something of a grey start to the Bank Holiday weekend I see, but things are to improve, with glorious sunshine forecast for Monday. Oh, if only there were somewhere in Edinburgh one could go to enjoy alfresco dining on a summer's day without being bothered by 'the constant glare of the sun' (copyright John Stalker).
Well fear not dear reader as once again Henderson's rides to the rescue. Young Savage Barrie Henderson tells me that Henderson's at St John's, already famed for its delightful outdoor terrace, has now acquired a New Giant Parasol to protect our milky-white, sensitive Scottish skins. Even better, in the unlikely event of rain, the New Giant Parasol can also double as a New Giant Umbrella.
And the good news doesn't stop there - you can enjoy the New Giant Parasol for even longer as Henderson's at St John's introduce their new opening hours this week, now serving their delicious, wholesome food, tempting snacks and refreshing drinks until the later time of 6pm.
Hooray for summer, hooray for Henderson's!
Monday 24th to Sunday 30th May this year is National Vegetarian Week, an annual awareness-raising project arranged by the Vegetarian Society to celebrate the joys and benefits of a meat-free lifestyle.
Henderson's is delighted to be participating in National Vegetarian Week 2010 and to be supporting the Vegetarian Society, the oldest in the world, both in its efforts in organising this week and in all the fine work it has done in the field over the years.
